The Hands That Hold Us
One of my favorite things to paint is hands.
Hands comfort. They steady. They lift. They bless. They carry.
Throughout scripture, Christ reached for people before He spoke to them. He touched lepers. He lifted Peter from the waves. He welcomed children into His arms. Even after His resurrection, His hands still bore the marks of sacrifice.
Perhaps that's because love is rarely abstract. It is something we feel.
When life feels uncertain, remember whose hands are holding you.
