A Simple Prayer - Oil on Canvas 11x14

A Simple Prayer was inspired by my eight-year-old daughter and the uncomplicated way children speak to God.

She often begins her prayers, “Heavenly Father, thank you for this day. Please bless everything you’ve gaven us…” Then, realizing she meant to say thank you for everything He has “gaven” us, she says that too.

Her prayers aren’t polished or eloquent. They’re sincere. And they remind me that Heavenly Father isn’t waiting for perfect words.

This painting is a reminder to pray simply, honestly, and often—and that a child’s small prayer is heard just as readily as anyone else’s.

Because this is an original oil painting, it needs time to fully cure before it can be safely varnished, packaged, and shipped. Oil paintings can take several months to dry completely, so A Simple Prayer is expected to be ready to ship February 2027.
